I'm a 54-year-old mom with a 24-year-old son with special needs. I've had the opportunity to take care of my elderly mother-in-law (we moved her in with us) who had dementia and then suffered a stroke. After she passed away, my mom who had COPD moved in with us and I was able to take care of her until she passed away from cancer. My background is finance, but my life has pushed me in the direction of caregiving. My mom would be so happy, she always wanted me to be a nurse; nurses run in my family. My family and friends describe me as compassionate, caring, giving, patient and funny (you have to have a sense of humor to get through this thing called "life").

Sheila is an excellent caregiver. She is kind and thoughtful and has an upbeat and fun personality. She does all of the required job tasks faithfully and takes initiative with tasks and ideas and is willing to do extra helpful things. She has been working for me for almost 5 years and is a top-notch PCA.
