Hello! I am a very friendly and creative nanny with 20 years of experience caring for children of all ages. I hold a BA in Childhood/Special Education, and am CPR/First Aid Certified. I love spending my time with children: playing games, creating art projects, reading & HW help, outings & adventures etc. and am comfortable with bedtime routines when applicable. I am currently the Assistant Director for an Out-of-School Time Program in CT, as well as a part time nanny! Prior to this I spent nearly a decade at a local community center where I worked with babies through teenagers in various roles. These included directing summer camps, and toddler and school-age programming. While I facilitated all aspects of care and education, I focused on literacy as well as healthy social-emotional and physical development. I served in AmeriCorps for 2 years post college, and have even cared for and taught English to children abroad!

Sheila is a consummate professional. She clearly loves children and my daughter was immediately drawn to her when she came to give care for 2 nights while we attended a wedding in the area. Sheila even brought books and toys the second night that aligned with things that my daughter clearly had an interest in. She's easy to have in your space, even if it is a small hotel room while you're getting ready while simultaneously playing! I would recommend Sheila to anyone looking for short or long term care.
