My experience with seniors is limited but not non-existent. I recently worked with a 92-year-old woman and really enjoyed our time together and found it not too dissimilar to my work at Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, in that you're just mindful of a person in every aspect of their day.

You can stop your search for a caregiver. Really, go ahead and stop. You've hit the jackpot with Shea. Let me take a not-so-wild guess...you're looking for someone who is attentive. For someone who is caring. Someone who you can trust to have your loved one's best interest in heart and action. Someone who comes to work to actually work but who does it in a way that it doesn't look like work. Someone who seamlessly balances professionalism with the incredible need for authentic connection. Someone who takes on those difficult tasks that are inherent with caring for another human being and does them with incredible presence, grace, and lightheartedness. This is Shea. I met Shea over 3 years ago. During that time I've watched her develop genuine relationships with the people she is with. Most recently she connected and supported my 92-year-old grandmother who is a unique combination of quick-witted fieriness and heartbreaking memory loss. We are forever grateful for Shea.
