About Shayna

Hi! My name is Shayna, I have a bachelor's degree in Natural and Applied Sciences with a minor in Biology from Florida International University. I have taken classes such as Biology, Ecology, Vertebrate Zoology and Parasitology that have provided me relevant knowledge in animal behavior and care. I have worked with African carnivores and primates through an internship with Zoo Miami, where I helped take care of animal diets, medications, enrichments, and habitats. I participated in animal training sessions through my internship and am currently studying to obtain a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed). Finally, I love all animals and have taken care of cats, dogs, fish and other animals throughout my life, treating every animal as if it were my own.
