About Shayla

Hello! I am someone who is very detail oriented, and I love learning new things! I am currently getting my masters in counseling, and I have 2 years of experience as a registered behavioral technician for children ages 4-12, and I worked as a children's swim teacher for 1 year before that. I love art, being active, and trying new hobbies! I'd describe my personality as detail-oriented, creative, adventurous. I like working with kids because they teach me how to have fun and be imaginative. I'm looking for a job that mostly provides consistent hours. I started working with kids when I was a high schooler as a children's group instructor in a martial arts called judo. In my spare time, I like to crochet, draw, go bouldering, and go to museums! My skills include teaching emotional regulation, co-playing with kiddos, and being consistent with whatever rules or needs the parents may have for their child.
