I've worked as a live-in nanny for a little over a year, did some live-out nannying as well, and also have done babysitting over the years and all while in college. I like to be interactive with children as I feel it starts them early on developing social interaction skills. A lot of what I have to offer has to do with child development; initially, I try and first develop a natural rapport between myself and the family, then, once that has been established, I move forward with working on skill sets that the parents have asked that I go over with the children. Children love me because I nurture children as they should be nurtured and show them plenty of love. To some children, the nanny is more than just a guest that watches them while the parents are away; the nanny is in a sense an extended piece of the family.
