Hello, I've worked with children for 10+ years, including special needs kiddos ages 0 to 18. I'm an Early Intervention Specialist, and ABA certified. I pride myself on keeping the children in my care safe, and assuring the parents feel comfortable with their children in my care. I am a mother to 3 adult children, so I understand the importance of feeling secure with whom my children are in the care of. I will provide quality care and follow the suggestions from the parent(s), because they know their child best. My job is to see them thrive and flourish while in my care. I first met Shawnette in November of 2021. I was new to the area of the high desert and 8 months pregnant with twin 2 year olds. My husband is gone a lot due to work and I really needed the extra help when it came to making it to doctor appointments etc. kid free. My twin 2 year olds are very active and require a lot of attention. My one son has a speech delay as well as bad tantrums that can be challenging. Daily tasks would include meals, getting kids ready, playing, educational activities, and naps. We also have a VERY active dog and two cats that she would take care of as well. Light house cleaning and dishes, too. Fast forward a few months I had my daughter and Shawnette continued with our family care. I decided to go back to work for a few months and she would get my twins ready for preschool, pack their lunches, and have them ready on time. She would then care for my new born daughter. My twins learned the basic sign language from her and also very good counting.
