About Shawna

I love working with children because every child has a unique personality, and it's so rewarding to build meaningful relationships while supporting their development through play, creativity, and everyday routines. I have hands-on experience working as both an infant teacher and a preschool teacher, where I cared for children of different ages, planned engaging activities, encouraged developmental milestones, and created a nurturing, positive environment. In addition, I hold certifications in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. My education and experience have given me a strong understanding of child development, health, safety, and age-appropriate care. I have also graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and am a licensed RN. My nursing education and professional experience have further strengthened my knowledge of pediatric care, child development, health and safety, and responding calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
