Like many before me, I was a caregiver for my mom when she had cancer, and eventually worked together with her home health care. I was the primary caretaker, organizing all the scheduling, appointments, treatments. I also managed the household, paid the bills, cooked. Helping others has been the center of my professional life - I have worked in nonprofit events & communications. I have supplemented my work as a personal cook, with an emphasis on special needs diets - diabetes, immune deficiency, gluten/dairy free, vegetarian, weight management, as well families, home parties and occasions. I particularly understand and empathize with the difficulty of caring for adults and the impact it can have on family members. The challenges of widowers who need support, companionship. I volunteer regularly - from music/the arts, homelessness, at risk youth, for my temple. I genuinely care about people and their quality of life.
