About Sharon

I have 5 years' experience in childcare, as both a nanny and as a childcare center teacher. I am CPR and first aid certified and can provide references. I especially enjoy caring for infants, and use an approach guided by the RIE method of infant care. I believe all babies deserve respectful, gentle care, and work with parents as we observe baby's changing needs to try to best meet the needs of all. I also have a music education background, with a special interest in early childhood music. I enjoy designing musical experiences based on Edwin Gordon's Music Learning Theory (this is what Music Together bases their curriculum on). M A few things I like to let families know from the start: I am working on my comfort level with working in homes with dogs (not allergic, just a little nervous around them) so if you have a dog I'd be happy to do a meet and greet. I'm totally comfortable with cats. I don't drive children (have reliable transportation for myself)

If you are looking for exceptional childcare look no further than Sharon! She is always on time, reliable, kind, caring, personable, and will seamlessly become part of your family in a short period of time. She looked after our 6 month old daughter for almost a year. We loved her creativity and how she fostered our daughters develop during such a critical time for milestones. She always had creative activities planned for our daughter and was a wealth of knowledge in development given her extensive experience in the childcare world. She helped us with solids and sleep and had great suggestions for us (so helpful to first time parents!). We were devastated to move and not be able to take her with us! She is simply the best!
