Shari nanny's for our 10 month old son and has been such a marvelous teacher and caregiver to him. If you're seeking high-quality childcare, Shari is worth every penny.  She's very experienced in early childhood education, always arrives with an upbeat positive attitude, is fun and engaging with our son and she's very punctual! As new parents, we've learned a lot from Shari and feel very lucky to have found her!

I have had many babysitters and nannies come and go over the years, but Sharon stands out among the rest. 
Sharon provided full time care for my children while I worked from home. When Sharon cared for my children, she interacted with them throughout the day, paying close attention to their needs whether they were spoken or not. In addition to care for the children, she prepared meals, did light housework, and cared for my dog. She initiated games with my children like scavenger hunts throughout the neighborhood and wrote stories with my daughter. She helped my son with homework and created opportunities to stimulate my daughter's developmental learning. She assisted my children in virtual camps and drove them to dance lessons, school, and other programs. She made such an impact on my family that my children still speak of her as family.

Shari nannied for our family for 4 years, ending only because of the pandemic in 2020. We had multiple nanny shares and she helped raise our first two kids during those incredible first few years. She is amazing with small kids, especially the toddler and preschool ages. She was like a grandmother to them. She is very patient, kind and responsible. She had an amazing collection of books and games she brings to keep them learning and growing. She makes play dough and cookies and somehow also had energy to clean and organize our home in between play sessions. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a warm, caring, generous and creative care giver.

We were lucky enough to have Shari care for our son from December, 2018 to February, 2020 - from eight to 22 months old.
Shari's extensive training and long experience are evident in her calm, thoughtful and creative approach when working with children. 

Shari is unflappable, gentle and kind, even when behaviors get challenging. 

Social/emotional learning is a particular strong suit of hers, and we believe our son gets along better with his peers as a result of her care.

Shari consistently offered us useful insights and tips on child development, and was a great teammate in brainstorming and troubleshooting issues.

She designed stimulating experiences and outings and we loved receiving photos and amusing updates throughout the day showing us how much fun everyone was having.

Our daughter loved Shari instantly and was always so excited to see her. Shari took any typical experience and made it engaging and fun. Each week with Shari, our daughter would pick up something new - a new way of communicating, a new way of mobilizing, soon enough learning sign language - Shari's strong early childhood education background came through every day. 

If you are reading this and other letters thinking, she sounds too good to be true, I remember feeling that way too. Yet, it is true. Shari IS really that amazing. She is one of the kindest people, and a kid's best friend. There is no way a child could spend time with Shari and not have a wonderful time. Our daughter would absolutely light up when Shari opened the door in the mornings. She is wonderful with kids (and babies!) of all ages, knowing just how to interact and communicate no matter what age and stage.

I highly recommend Shari to anyone that wants a positively encouraging and genuinely respectful setting for their children.

We employed Shari as a nanny from Aug 2017 to Dec 2018, from when our son was one and a half years old to when he was nearly 3, after which he started preschool. We highly recommend Shari as a care provider for young children. We greatly attribute our son's love for books, his ability to calm himself when he is upset, and his empathy towards others from Shari's influence during those early development stages. 

Here are a few things I would like to share about our experience with Shari:
She is always on time and cheerful.
She interacts with children with a respectful grace and dedication.
She potty trained our son. 
She maintains a daily routine that includes lots of reading and fun outings. 
She encourages sensory play and creativity. She regularly made play dough and constructed spaceships from cardboard for pretend play.

I was lucky enough to have Shari care for my daughter as part of a nanny-share arrangement from January - August 2021. 
Shari has an amazingly calm, present, respectful way of interacting with babies, and made it look easy to take care of TWO infants at the same time. I have honestly learned more from observing her than I have from any parenting books. 
My daughter is social and adventurous despite having a relatively isolated pandemic infancy (her nanny-share buddy is the only other baby she met for many months), and I attribute much of that to Shari's support of the babies in the earliest phases of their social development. 
Shari also displays a high level of professionalism, is an effective communicator, and is just generally a pleasure to work with.
I cannot recommend her highly enough. Any family would be blessed to have her caring for their child.
