About Shaquann

I am an alum of Hampden-Sydney College, where I tutored various college physics courses, astronomy, and calculus 1 and 2. As a tutor, I used various methods to guide students in problem solving techniques and conceptual understanding to the point that they were comfortable working independently. Physics and astronomy students would occasionally require me to teach them essential algebra, geometry, trig, and calculus techniques. I served four years as a Boy Scouts Astronomy Merit Badge Counselor, and in the summers of 2016 and 2018, I worked as an astrophysics teaching assistant at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented youth. These two positions have provide me experience instructing younger age groups, instructional planning, and developing assessments. Currently, I'm Physics PhD student at the University of Delaware. I have worked as a TA, independently teaching lab and recitation sections of physics and astronomy courses since 2018. I can do hybrid in-person and remote meetings.
