About Shannon

I'm Shannon, a DC Certified teacher with a Master's in Early Childhood Special Education and 14 years of experience teaching young children in an inclusive setting! I am now a homeschooling mom and educational consultant and offer ongoing online coaching for families and drop off tutoring sessions, beginning mid-April 2024, for children ages 4-9 years old. I offer drop in, homeschool style tutoring sessions in a mixed age group for children ages 4-9 years old. There will be a curriculum tailored to meet each student's needs and include the following: Access to trained singers and a keyboard and acoustic guitar for music lessons and exploration STEAM materials and projects Hands on science experiments Access to intro to the following languages: French, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and American Sign Language Art Lessons from in-house Art Specialist Walkable to Sport Rock Indoor Climbing and Rio Playground for recess and Physical Education Portfolio supplementation and data collection
