About Shannon

I taught high school Science and Health for over 17 years. While teaching I centered my classroom around inquiry and hands-on learning with an emphasis on getting outside and making learning relatable to my students. I created a working urban farm with chickens, goats, hydroponics, an orchard, and a garden. I am on to my next professional chapter in life after resigning from my full-time teaching career in 2020. Tutoring, kid-sitting, and dog sitting makes up the bulk of my days and I love it. I am highly educated with a Master of Arts in Teaching Biology and enjoy working with children of all ages.
