Hello I'm Shannon! I would love to tell you a little about myself and what I can offer to you and your family! I was born and raised in a small town in Northern Minnesota! Moving to Virginia 28 years ago to start my career in childcare. For the past 30 years I have cared for children from new born through early elementary. I love to sing, teach children their letters, numbers, shapes, colors, animals and their sounds. I love arts and crafts! Love the outdoors! Nature walks, playing at the playground, Singing, music, coloring, paining. I am a huge animal lover! I can help out with children laundry, tidy up, wash dishes, make homemade healthy meals! I love baking getting children involved in this is so much fun (measuring, stirring, mixing and eating) I have amazing reviews and references! We are incredibly pleased with Shannon's exceptional care for our 16-month old daughter. Shannon started watching her in the evenings when she was around 10 months old. She was very patient and caring as our little one made the adjustment to a new caretaker. Our daughter has blossomed under her care, eagerly picking up new words, playing, laughing, and engaging in all kinds of crafts and activities. Shannon is very reliable, always arrives early or on time, and communicates in advance about any changes to her schedule. She also gives our dog attention and is flexible and willing to support where needed. We are grateful for her help in making our evenings run much more smoothly! She has become an invaluable support for our family and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone needing child care.
