About Shannon

My childcare experience began when I was 16 and moved to a new neighborhood. A family across the street asked me to babysit their 1- and 3-year-old, and the rest was history. I continued to babysit the two, then three kids, throughout high school and during college when I was on break. Even now 15+ years later, we are still close family friends. Since then, my childcare experience has been with family, most recently my cousin's 1-year-old. I also have years of experience working with disabled children and teens in a therapeutic riding program. My education and career has been in Public Health. Along with many others in my field, I lost my job this year due to Federal cuts. It has been a hard year applying to jobs in an industry that is hurting. I am now looking to pivot to another role for a while. I will update my CPR/First Aid certification before working with your family. I like to hike, practice yoga, and read. I love animals and want to know both your human and fur babies!
