About Shannon

I'm a certified nursing aid as well as certified dementia practitioner. Before transitioning to home care, I was a CNA working in a memory care unit of a nursing home with Alzheimer's patients! I loved my residents and what I did immensely but wanted to explore homecare more. I have a lot of personal experience as a companion with my own grandma who I also considered a great friend. I would clean her apartment, take her food shopping, cook for her, but above all had meaningful conversations and enjoyed each others company. After she unfortunately passed away I went on to work for two separate nursing homes as a dietary aide. As a dietary aide I was able to provide meals to the residents as well as get to know some of them and it brought me right back to those fun times with my grandma. Those experiences inspired me to become a CNA in the first place! I very much enjoy working with senior citizens and helping them in any way that I can.
