My name is Shannon and I am brand new to New Orleans! I have spent the last three years as an elementary school teacher for Chicago Public Schools. I am licensed to teach children from first grade up to eighth and have an extensive background caring for children of all ages (0- high school). My experience as an educator has helped me cultivate a teaching style centered around child development and unique child interest. I believe in limited screen time, unlimited time outside and always seeking new experiences that allow opportunities for children to learn and grow. Shannon is amazing! She babysat all 4 of my kids multiple times (ages 1, 3, 6, 7) and handled it like a pro. She was able to be firm and set boundaries with them while also being kind and loving. She took our car out and drove them around and took them to the park and store. I wasn't worried at all. She is trustworthy, reliable, and an overall good person. I strongly recommend her!
