About Shannon

I like working with kids because their innocence and purity bring out the best in me. Their joy encourages me to bring a positive energy to every situation. I'm looking for a job that is fulfilling, yet challenging, which I have found in my experience in child care. I started really working with children about a year ago, but growing up fully blind, I had a lot of exposure to disabled children through school. This taught me how to communicate with children in a unique way and gain a rare perspective on how to connect with then more deeply. In my spare time, I like to needle felt, listen to audio books, play my harp, and spend time with friends. One thing you should know about me is that children are my passion. My dream is to work with kids, and to help them grow into the best versions of themselves. I can't wait to have children of my own.
