While my students have described me as thoughtful and challenging, they have also found me to be compassionate and fun. I have 15 years of experience from which to draw inspiration, knowledge, and resources. And my roles (high school teacher, elementary library teacher, instructional coach, and district literacy coach) have provided me an opportunity to work with both children and adolescents, from struggling literacy students to self-identified non-readers. Most recently, I have had the vastly humbling and indescribable experience that is new motherhood. I look forward to meeting new students.

Shannon is an amazing teacher and an excellent caregiver. She is skilled with kids of all ages. When she's taken care of my son in the past she's done a great job of keeping him on his schedule and keeping him entertained with developmentally-appropriate games and activities. I'm always impressed at the effort she puts into finding new, fun activities for kids. She is simply fantastic!
