About Shannon

Hey there! My name is Shannon, and I am a pre-medical student currently working as an ophthalmic scribe at a glaucoma clinic in northern Virginia. I received my bachelor's degree in Cognitive Sciences, with a focus in Neuroscience, from the University of Virginia in May 2023. After graduation, I spent a year working as a CPR instructor and pediatric patient care technician at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville, and I also volunteered as an EMT once a week in Crozet, VA. From September 2024-May 2025, I was enrolled as a full time student in the GeorgeSquared Advanced Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program, and have received a joint certificate from Georgetown and George Mason for my studies. I'm currently looking for flexible work in babysitting, tutoring, and/or pet-sitting to help pay for my applications to medical school! I have experience working with children and adults of all ages (through healthcare, teaching and babysitting) and I look forward to hearing from you!
