About Shannon

Children are my joy in life. I believe every child is unique and requires patience and love. I highly value communication and believe all children need to know they are special, uniquely and wonderfully made. I can't wait to pour into the next family God has for me. I am a graduate of Cornerstone University with a BA in Elementary Education, as well as, a graduate of Grace Christian University earning a BS in Religious Studies. I have experience teaching in both public and private schools, grades K through fourth. Most recently I have completed all 40 hours required by DCF to be a certified teacher in preschool/ daycare and taught in the Toddler (1yr) and 3-year-old classrooms at Woodlawn Child Development Center. I have multiple years of experience as a nanny and have found it to be my most fulfilling career. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. Children are the love of my life and animals of all kinds are a close second! I look forward to serving your family!

Our family loves Shannon! We have three toddler aged children that she babysits for from time to time and she handles them, no problem. Shannon is loving, dependable, and fun with the kids. My children are always asking when she will be back. Our house is always tidied up when she babysits, which is so appreciated as busy parents. She has experience in the school systems and as a daycare teacher, so she is great with all ages.
