I've been a private nanny for the last 4 years. Before that I was a lead infant teacher for 3 years, and I taught twos and threes in a local preschool for two years. I'm excessively patient and my approach to childcare comes from a place of empathy and reason. I'm interested in building secure attachments, and I believe that children are equal beings who deserve autonomy and respect. I love to create a child led environment to learning and play, where I can offer guidance when necessary. When I'm with kids, I like to do a lot of artwork, reading, outdoor play, walks around the city/town, games and other age appropriate activities. I'm currently looking for one time jobs only!

Shanna was exceptional- punctual, communicative, and so sweet with our jetlagged baby. She also made it work in a hotel room that was smaller than we were expecting. We wish we lived in the same state so we could hire her all the time!
