Hello! My name is Shaniko. I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist/Recreational Therapist who currently works with children with mental and behavioral challenges and nannies 2-year-old twin girls! I love to spend my free time hanging out with family and friends, going on walks & dancing. I'm also an ODU alumna! I have 6+ years of experience with ages ranging from 6 months-22 years old. Some of my experience includes working in community settings (YMCA and Parks and Rec) and mental hospitals with diagnoses including ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, etc. I also have some experience with ABA therapy. I have a passion for recreation/play therapy, which is why I specialize in helping children reach milestones (physical, emotional, and behavioral) through leisure and recreational activities.
