About Shakira

I have completed up to Calc 2 with a B+ or higher, but my strongest suit is Algebra. I am not opposed to tutoring outside of basic algebra levels as long as I am given the adequate information necessary to complete an assignment (Aka notes, guides, etc). I am patient with students so long as they can be patient with me and have the drive to learn. I stray away from those who are just looking for quick answers rather than understanding the 'How' behind them. I try to base my teachings around how the student learns best rather than a strict guidebook. I like to incorporate fun aspects like music, videos, and food if and when possible to elicit a calmer and more fun environment with a commonly hated subject. My motto is that practice makes improvement not perfect because no one should be expected/pressured to have perfect scores 24/7!
