Hello There! I am a longterm Nanny with TONS of experience! I have been a Nanny for over 10 years. I have experience with children 0 to 17 years with ALL needs. I am also comfortable with multiples. In my last position I was Nanny/House manager for 3 little guys under 5, one with special needs. With a background in child development & special education, I try to make every experience a time for learning. My approach to caregiving would be most closely related to the Montessori style, with a focus on independence and respect for the child. I understand the value of a schedule as well as the value of children moving at their own pace. This facilitates an environment with lots of gentle reminders which in turn allows for smooth transitions. With that I am probably the most silly adult that your child will encounter. Shakee was an amazing full-time caregiver for our 1 year old. I was very nervous about going back to work because my daughter was experiencing a lot of separation anxiety, and Shakee handled her big feelings with so much patience, positivity, and love. Her experience caring for children was extremely evident; nothing fazed her and I always felt my daughter was safe in her hands. My daughter thrived under her care, and gained so many words and skills. Shakee filled each day with outings, play, books, and songs, and worked with us to get her on a better sleep schedule for her age. Shakee was also a great communicator and very reliable. I cannot say enough good things about her; she was so wonderful for our family.
