About Shacoya

Growing up as the oldest sibling has made me highly responsible and reliable. I work quickly and efficiently. These skills, as well as many others have helped me excel in higher education and in my professional career. I have 5 years of experience as a tutor. After completing undergrad I worked as a pre k teacher educating 3-4-year-olds. I also tutored children in elementary school during the after school program. Teaching has always been easy for me because I love connecting with children. Upon meeting new clients I strive to quickly learn a child's personality and their way of thinking to ensure that I can communicate and teach effectively. Their success is my success. I currently work full time as a geotechnical engineer but have decided to pick up some individual work on the side. Mentoring is my true passion but tutoring is all I have time for at the moment.
