About Serena

I've always had a passion for helping children learn and grow. I grew up as the oldest of 6, changing diapers since I was 5 years old and starting babysitting the neighborhood kids around 9 years old. Through sitting with kids during church services, babysitting siblings/ other families nannying etc. eventually led me to become a childcare provider. I believe every child deserves a chance to reach their full potential, and I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive. I have 4 years of experience teaching in private preschools aged 6 weeks-12+years, I have 40+ hours of CCEI training, CPR/ first aid certified, Food Handler's Certification, I've been a Certified Safe Sitter since 2014, OSHA and a few other certifications involving childcare. Plus being a parent myself to a now 4-year-old boy , I feel comfortable caring for children of all ages. I believe in open communication with parents and will provide however my families prefer to communicate.
