About Serena

I was born to a German mother and an American father in Germany as a US Citizen and moved when I was 9 years old and have lived in California since then. I had my first part-time nanny job when I was 15 in La Crescents for 3 years watching two girls (5 and 6). I picked them up from school, made sure they ate, helped with homework and stayed with them until their parents came home. I love being around children. The joy we have and the trust they put in me, makes me a better person. Sometimes it is not easy to convince a child to do what you would like them to do, but one thing my mother instilled in me is patience. Every child has their own personality. Keeping them safe, entertained and intellectually stimulated are responsibilities I'm good at. I'm aware that I emerge into an existing family structure and I highly respect implementing any house rules from my guest family in a firm but kind manner. In addition to working with children, I'm also a senior caregiver.
