About Sequoia

Caring for children is not a task that I take lightly. I believe that every child has unique needs and preferences, and should be treated with respect and thoughtfulness. I am a senior psychology major at UC Santa Cruz, so I am familiar with what healthy child development looks like, and I am also aware that this differs from child to child, and from neurotype to neurotype. I am training to become a holistic therapist for autistic children and adults, and as a neurodiverse person myself, hold a special place in my heart (and specific knowledge about) neurodiverse children. I am well versed in sensory regulation and processing, and can help little ones who may encounter these issues. I am more than happy to provide enrichment through crafts, books, play, song, art, and outdoor activities. I am extremely conscientious and take a proactive approach to keeping children safe, meaning that I do my best to anticipate any issues or possible risks before they arise.
