About Semaj

Although I've been assisting children with homework for years, I officially began tutoring in December of 2016, and I fell in love. I love seeing the amount of progress children can make in short periods of time. This past year, I volunteered in a School. I taught alongside a partner teacher, and wrote custom interventions for my focus list of students. 9/10 of my focus list students, who all started off the school year with reading levels in the red, ended the year with reading levels in the green. The one who did not, sadly un-enrolled in the fall. I specialized in 7th grade learning, I was trained on how to meet students where they are, and create customized plans to get them where they need to be, in a fun way!
