About Scout

Hello! My name is Scout, and I am a college student working towards a BA and a masters in the Art of Teaching. I got my start in childcare working as a camp counselor and a teacher's assistant, and I work as a substitute teacher and babysitter during the summer. Recently, I've been able to combine my loves for childcare and theatre as a songleader, and as a performers' associate with the Bluey x CAMP store. I love a musical approach when it comes to babysitting, and I encourage pretend play, craft making, and independent time. I like working with kids because they know something we don't! Learning how to be on a child's level and see the world through their eyes has allowed me to see the world through a more imaginative, solution-oriented lens for as long as I've worked in childcare. One thing you should know about me is that I don't have a car! I walk/take the train everywhere. My skills include mediating fights, pretend play, and active listening. I look forward to meeting you!
