I have several years experience working with the mentally and physically disabled in a group home setting which gave me the chance to build relationships with families and residents on individual basis treating each person differently according to what they liked and didn't like. However the last 3 years I have worked primarily in private homes with end-of-life care for hospice patients which I have truly enjoyed being able just to reassure the person I'm caring for that they are okay and that they are loved and that they are safe and that I always have a hand for them to hold and that really reassures them and keeps them calm which is my main goal. Saundra was hired to be a caregiver for our 75 year old family member with dementia and other complex medical issues. Saundra was kind and very helpful. She provided transportation to medical appts for our family member and asked insightful questions and relayed back critical information. Saundra did light housekeeping and other tasks around the house for us. She kept our family member engaged and found activities that provided entertainment which helped our family member stay connected with the world. Whomever Saundra works with is very lucky to have her as a caregiver. Florence
