About Saru

I have a huge passion for dancing and have been dancing to Indian music (from India) since I was 3 years old. I've learned many styles such as jazz, contemporary, modern Indian dancing, and a little bit of hip hop. I was on the dance team my junior and senior year of high school and also participated in local and global competitions. I've danced at various cultural events and dance at weddings and parties. I participated as a finalist in a dance contest and made it to the top 100 in Bombay, India, where I had the honor of auditioning for a famous Indian dance company. I am currently a Principal Emerging Performer for another dance company. I would be more than happy to share my joy and love for dance with anyone who would love to learn Indian dancing, mixed with a bit of fusion of various dance styles. It's a lot of fun and a great workout as well. I teach all ages and gender!
