I was a nanny/house manager for 11 years, for a single parent family, for 2 boys. My duties included changing diapers, potty training, putting down baby for naps, making meals, grocery shopping, providing rides when needed, helping with homework and projects, doing all family laundry and dishes, going on day trips, going on family vacations, doing errands (dry cleaning, post office), making and attending doctor and dentist appointments, etc. Prior to being a nanny, I worked in a private owned daycare. I worked as a lead assistant for 5 years. The ages of the children varied from 6 months to school aged. My duties included supervising and participating in playtime, indoors and outdoors, preparing snacks and lunch, changing diapers, bottle feeding, supervising nap time, and transportation when needed. I have always been great with children since my teenage years, when I did a lot of babysitting. I also babysat for individual families during my nanny and daycare jobs. I like to be outside with kids, exploring nature, playing games or sports, going for walks, and swimming. I enjoy taking photos, reading and doing arts and crafts. I also love playing and caring for infants. I am not afraid of getting down on the floor and playing silly. I don't believe in sitting in front of the television or video games for hours on end. I believe engaging educational play is important for children. I also encourage healthy eating/snacking. I am a huge animal lover, and own a large dog and cat of my own. I have 20+ years of valuable experience caring for children, of all ages, in varied settings.
