About Sara

I am a retired teacher. I taught from 1994 to 2014. I taught kindergarten through fifth grade, including students who struggled with reading, English, math, social studies, and science. I taught gifted students, English language learners, and students with special needs. My husband (also a teacher) and I raised two wonderful daughters to adulthood. I love working with students one-on-one, in person. I know the advantages of online instruction, but nothing replaces the rapport a teacher can build with a student through time spent together. I can tutor in your home as long as there is a parent or guardian present, or we can meet at a local library. I am happy to communicate regularly with parents and teachers to make sure our tutoring time is used wisely. I will plan and prepare with that same goal in mind.
