I have been around pets my whole life. Since I was a baby, my family has always owned various pets cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and even a potbelly pig and when I was a teenager I volunteered for a Humane Society on weekends, caring for many cats and dogs while trying to find them homes. I also did a lot of pet sitting throughout my years in college. Currently I work from home as a freelance writer, and it's fantastic because I get to spend most of my days hanging out with my awesome Jack Russell whose name is Rue.
