About Sarah

My own caregiving journey began with my grandma that got a cerebral vascular accident that left her paralyzed and unable to look after herself . I became his primary caregiver. Without the knowledge and skills, I was not able to deliver the care I thought was necessary for her. Then I took care of one of my nephews who is autistic for almost 1 year. I gained skills that help me to understand this particular illness. My approach to caregiving comes from a very personal place and I always attempt to make a connection with the person who needs care and put their needs and requirements first. Now I'm working as a caregiver in behavioral facility of 20 residents and I love my job and the fact of being helpful . I just got my nursing assistant certification to gain more skills.
