Hello! I'm Sarah (: I have been working with children from a very young age. With professional experience as a preschool teacher for over 8 years and 5 years experience as a nanny! I have experience working with infants to junior high. I have education in early childhood education and although I miss the classroom at times I am absolutely in love with the undivided attention I can give children from being able to work with them one on one. I believe in play based learning and a gentle approach when it comes to discipline. I believe in natural consequences/ redirection and talking things out with the child whenever possible. I don't ever believe in shaming the child or implementing punishments like "time out." There's no such thing as a bad kid just bad choices! I am patient, loving and understanding with the children and I feel like that's why we are able to create such strong relationship. I am currently looking for occasional date nights and weekends! Sarah is an absolutely amazing nanny. She has been caring for my 2 (now nearly 3-year old) son for the last several months. She's everything I was hoping to find in a nanny . Of course, at the basic level, I have every confidence that my son is safe in her care. But she also has experience as a preschool teacher and takes time every day to teach him things. Not only academic stuff like letters and numbers, but also life skills like sharing, kindness, helping, etc. She talks to him like an actual person, and I have heard her say things that have actually helped me be a better parent! She also comes up with fun activities for them to do, and my son has SO much fun with her. On top of all that, she is a very pleasant, kind person, and very Covid conscious! We will be sad to see her go when our son starts preschool. I am so pleased with everything I've seen from Sarah as a nanny, and any other family that hires her would be lucky to get her!
