About Sarah

My experience is as a result of 6 years of caring for my elderly mother-in-law who was 84 and suffered from dementia. During the latter part of her life, I would help her with meals, bathing, dressing, and monitoring of her medications. We would exercise, play board games, take walks or just sit and talk together. My intentions were to keep her as comfortable as possible; to make her self-sufficient as possible and keep her feeling secure in her own environment. Since her passing away, I spend any spare time volunteering at nursing homes.
