About Sarah

I'm the second oldest of nine children so I've grown up watching children. I had my first babysitting job outside of my siblings when I was 10 years old and I did that for 7 years. I've also worked for a family as a personal care attendant for their autistic son. Part of that job consisted of helping him learn life skills such as reading, writing, math, cooking, etc. One summer I was on school break I worked as a nanny for a 3-month-old. I've also had many babysitting on a need basis as well. Due to my experience I've worked with children ranging from 3months to 17 years old. I know some baby and American sign language. I'm more knowledgeable in ASL as I've taken more classes in that, but I haven't used either in a while so I will be rusty, however I should be able to catch on again fairly quick. I've also had 7+ years of piano lessons which has come in handy when I've watched kids who need help with music lessons. Children have always been a big part of my life and I've loved working with them for as long as I can remember!
