Hello! I'm a career nanny with 10+ years of experience caring for newborns through school age children, including infants, toddlers, multiples, shares. I'm currently available mornings from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 AM, or 10:30 a.m. for families in Davis. I love creating engaging, hands-on experiences through sensory play, crafts, reading and turning everyday materials into something fun and meaningful! I'm experienced in supporting children through big feelings while maintaining respectful, age-appropriate boundaries. I'm happy to help with childcare, drop-offs and pickups, and general morning transportation (I have an SUV with room for car seats!) I'm experienced with light housekeeping and organization, errands, pet care, and housesitting. I'm open to family assisting with a combination of responsibilities. I'm dependable, communicative and genuinely enjoy getting to know the children/families I work with. I'm TrustLine registered and happy to provide references and recommendations!
Sarah is a very patient, energetic, and creative individual who has an innate ability to connect with children on their level. Her upbeat attitude no matter the circumstances, enthusiasm for seeing children grow, as well as her ability to foster my son’s curiosity was admirable. I was impressed whenever I would give Sarah a cardboard box and she would on her own time turn it into a piece of art and toy that my son would thoroughly enjoy. As a first-time mom, I was nervous to return to work after maternity leave, but Sarah’s calm demeanor put me at ease, and I was comforted in knowing my son was in caring hands while I was at work. Her adaptability given any situation is exemplified in the following scenarios: Initially, my son would not accept a bottle and she persisted in testing out various types of baby bottles, different feeding positions, and attempted syringe feeding if needed until we found a bottle that worked for him. She also guided him through baby led weaning and introduction of solid foods, which is a messy endeavor, but she made the process fun for everyone involved despite my own overly clean tendencies. Sarah’s specific skills included: -Supervising and caring for infants/children -Preparing bottles and food, taking initiative on baby led weaning -Age-appropriate arts and crafts, personalized sensory art projects -Basic housekeeping tasks, washing bottles and dishes, and laundry -Pet friendly, would provide pet sitting services as needed -Safe driving record, we entrusted her to drive my son to the local library for infant group meet-ups -CPR/first aid certified Sarah was trustworthy and caring, and I highly recommend her as a nanny.
