About Sarah

Hi, my name is Sarah! I am currently a bioengineering PhD student at Harvard University. Prior to starting at Harvard, I received my MS in biomedical engineering from Brown University in 2021. Additionally, I received my BS in computational neuroscience with a mathematics minor from Fordham University in 2019. I am reliable, hard-working and passionate about STEM! I have experience in tutoring SAT math as well as high school (algebra, geometry, trigonometry and pre-calculus) and college (calculus I and II, and linear algebra) level math. I am great at simplifying explanations of complex math processes, making practice questions on the spot and creating "info sheets" containing explanations of topics that my student needs help with. Additional areas of expertise include neuroscience and computer science/programming (MATLAB and Python). Tutoring students in STEM topics is a passion of mine and I would love to help your child excel in their education!

Sarah has been working with our 8-year-old daughter for the past year, and she has been wonderful. We were looking for a way to give her some extra math enrichment outside of school without enrolling her in a more formal program, and Sarah has been exactly what we hoped for. She makes math genuinely fun and engaging, always finding creative, hands-on ways to bring concepts to life, whether they’re baking, building a little store, or coming up with activities around whatever our daughter is interested in. She looks forward to Sarah coming over every week, and we’ve seen her math skills and confidence grow so much over the past year. Sarah is also a wonderful role model.
