About Sarah

I have worked as a special education teacher for the past eight years working primarily with small groups. I have also tutored on the side at my school in an effort to improve academic achievement for students receiving low test scores. I am very comfortable working with a variety of ages and academic abilities and providing interventions at an individualized level. I'd describe my personality as patient, welcoming, and caring. I like tutoring because I enjoy seeing the individualized progress that students can make and the ways that their confidence in themselves grows as a result. I started tutoring about a year ago in an afterschool program at the school I teach at. I have taught for the past eight years.
