I'm a 50-year-old trained home health aide who enjoys working with seniors. I have over 10 years experience in the field and have worked with Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, Stroke, MS and bedridden patients among others. I have experience with peg tube feeding, hoyer lift, feeding, bathing, meal prep cooking, house keeping, errands, shopping and companionship. I am very patient, caring, honest and hardworking. I hired Sandra to care for my mom, who suffered from a stroke and has mild dementia. She was very pleasant to interact with at first, but just three days intot he assignment, things changed quickly. That morning, she offered to work the night shift when my brother was away, but only a couple hours later, she was saying she and my mother were not a good fit. I agree with this, but it was a sudden shift in tone. Over the phone, she conveyed annoyance that my mother went up and down the stairs so often, yet wanted to use the commode when she needed to go to the bathroom, instead of going upstairs to the bathroom. I said my mother needed to smove about as much as possible, but she said, "No one can exercise all day." So she may be a better fit if you or your loved one is not very active or is in a completely accessible home. 

Sandra was fantastic with my mother and has a great temperament and demeanor for the job. Responsible, attentive, caring, compassionate, patient, among others.  We only had her for a short time but would have her back in a flash!  

She was the most amazing caregiver that I ever could have imagined bringing into our family. During my mother’s toughest times she proved to be much more than an aide, serving as a friend and even a part of the family. Each day that she would come, my mom would be happy to see her, which was not an easy task as we went through many aides before her. She handled every task needed perfectly, which was no small feat as my mother was bedbound for the last few months of her life. My stepfather would marvel at how she changed the sheets while my mom was in the bed and at many other tasks. Additionally, she was super caring and diligent about all of her job functions. My kids and wife also loved her as much as my mother and stepfather did. I am so thankful that we found her and know that anyone who is in the presence of her will be blessed by her. She goes above and beyond the call of duty and my whole family loves her immensely. She even showed up at our gathering after my mom passed away to pay her respects and before that made sure to call me when the time was very close so I could say goodbye. She is the best you could ever hope for and we only hope she is available to help my family when we move back to nyc and watch our kids grow up to bring her the same positive energy she brought us during the tough times. 

Sandra was everything her reviews said she was.  She was professional, caring, and totally responsive to my and my wife’s needs.  I could not have asked for a better person to help me with caring for my wife’s Alzheimer’s.  I would recommend her to anyone with no reservations.

Sandra is a wonderful, caring, dedicated and experienced individual. She is responsible, punctual and kind hearted. We hired her for weekend days. She helped with all of my mom’s needs including transfers, dressing,  hygiene, medication management, food prep, cleaning up, companionship. She kept my mom happy and well cared for despite my mom’s rapidly changing and increasing needs. Including home, bedside hospital, and rehab care.  She handled a few emergency situations perfectly and professionally. She was proactive in informing us if she noticed something wrong and recommending solutions. Sandra has been a huge instrument in my moms life this past year.  We were in need of a companion/caretaker for the fact that mom was living a little too far for anyone of us to be there for her on a regular basis. 
Meals, walks with Maggie the Dog, hygiene, grocery shopping and medications as well as laundry and upkeep with moms home, Sandra has been an above and beyond companion. We were blessed. 
We are now moving mom close to the family so we can be with her on a daily basis. 
Sandra has truly been a miracle through moms recent health issues. Not only has she helped slowdown moms decline, she really has helped her turn things around for the better.
