My name is Sandra, and I'm looking for a new family and available to start on April or May 2019. This is my work history. Until August 2014, I was working with a beautiful baby girl, it was a temporary job because her mom decided to stay at home and take care of her. Before that, I was taking care of a handsome baby boy, since October 2013 until March 2014. His mom also decided to quit her job and take care of him full-time. Before him, from 2011-2013 I was with a beautiful baby girl, for almost three years since she was 5 months old until she started preschool. I have more than 5 years of experience, 2 as a part-time and 3 as a full-time nanny. I like to play, make activities with the kids, go to the park, walk and have fun while I teach them Spanish as a second language if the family is interested. I don't drive, but I'm very familiar with public transportation. I have a clean background and I'm certified for CPR and First Aid. I have local references.

I interviewed Sandra when I first started looking for a nanny for my 4 month old daughter. I really liked Sandra's personality, warm, energetic, open and positive. She came across as someone who was dependable and who I could trust to do the right thing. She was also open to suggestions about care giving. I was also pleasantly surprised by her  knowledge of our neighborhood and the various child friendly activities. She had excellent communication and listening skills which I thought was very useful because one of my concerns during some of the interviews was my ability to get my point across. We did not hire Sandra because of logistics on our part (we ended up going with a nanny share with another family) but I would have loved to have worked with her otherwise.

Sandra is an excellent nanny! We love her and feel very lucky that we found here on Care.com. She's taken care of our seven-month old for a few months. My work schedule has now changed, otherwise we would have wanted her to stay with our family. She's warm, experienced, very knowledgeable and our little girl loves to be with her.

Sandra cared for my son from 3.5 months old to 9 months old, when I made the decision to stop working to stay home with him full time.  This decision was nothing to do with the care Sandra gave him - quite the contrary, the fact that he was so well-cared for and clearly adored her made it harder!

I don't know where to start really - there are so many great things to say.  Sandra is sweet, loving, nurturing and fun.  She is smart and self-motivated.  She is able to follow direction or a schedule, but also gives advice/suggestions without being intrusive.  She is punctual and responsible.

She was fantastic with my son and also with my husband and me, and quickly became part of the fabric of our lives. My son lit up every morning when she arrived. She kept him on a regular schedule, wrote down his activities for me, and seeing that he enjoyed the company of others so much, sought out daily activities for him, including the park, the library, and an indoor play area near our house so he could play with other babies. She also took care of his laundry while he napped and prepared some meals for him.  Most of all, she just loved our boy.

Originally from Mexico, she spoke Spanish to my son, but her English is also excellent and communicating with her via text, email or phone in English is easy. 

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Sandra is currently caring full time for my son. She has been with him since I went back to work when he was 3.5 months old. Since I have recently decided that I want to stay home, I am trying to help her find a good family so she can make her next move. I will be working until March 14, but we have told her if she finds a family before then we will do what we can to make it work. My decision to stay at home has absolutely nothing to do with Sandra or the care my son receives; in fact, it made it harder because my son loves her and she's such a part of our lives. Where to start?  Sandra is very loving, punctual, and I trust her completely. She will respect and follow a schedule (I had a routine already in place when I went back to work), but is also able to share suggestions (she just helped us with the transition from three naps to two). Originally from Mexico, she speaks Spanish to my son, but her English is also excellent. She is amazing with my son. He lights up every morning when she arrives, and never fusses when I leave for work. He is a social little guy, so she has sought out fun and free things for him to do, like taking him to the farmer's market, park, the library, and an indoor play area near our house so he can play with other babies. She also takes care of his laundry while he naps and has prepared home-made baby foods. She updates me with pictures while I'm at work, which is really nice. She is CPR and First Aid certified, and is also legal (if that's important).

We hired Sandra when our daughter was 1 year old since both of us work full time. She helped us with our daughter to drop her at the school, taking care of her at home. It was very convenient because we all lived in the same building so when we needed her, she always was there for us. We needed someone that we could trust and that could be in charge. She immediately established herself as a valuable member of our household, is a self-starter, organized, punctual and very loving and fun with kids.  She is a natural care-taker and also very good with setting boundaries and teaching them manners.  It's been a joy to work with her and we recommend her highly.
Our daughter started school full time so we don't need Sandra anymore. Even though she still helps us some Fridays or Saturdays if we need to go out.

Sandra has been caring for my daughter since I went back to work when she was about 4 months old (my daughter will be 3 this fall and is starting preschool). She also has cared for my now 7 year old son during school breaks/holidays and when he was sick and needed to stay home from school. She has experience caring for other children prior to working for us and also has a daughter and son of her own.

Sandra is an incredibly warm, caring and energetic person. We knew we wanted her to look after our daughter from the first time we met her and saw her in action. She is completely comfortable bringing our daughter to activities and parks around the city. Sandra is a native Spanish speak (fluent in English, which was key for us as my husband and I do not speak Spanish) and my daughter communicates with her almost exclusively in Spanish (as does my son).

Sandra has been incredibly reliable. This is the second most important attribute in my book after being a loving caretaker. With my son, his first nanny was not particularly reliable and that was brutal to manage with two working parents that have no extended family nearby plus I travel regularly.

She has great ideas for activities, suggestions on ways to respond to various kiddo development challenges and is also very open to supporting moms and dads care for their children as they best see fit. She will send updates on what they are doing (including pics of our daughter having fun) during the day and if you have a journal, can write the key happenings of the day (which is really nice to track naps, first time foods, milestones, etc.). Sandra also takes care of the kids' laundry, changes their bedding and she will do some light cleaning/straightening during nap time.

Bottom line, my kids adore her (my daughter loves her to pieces and I too think the world of her and her family), I always felt my children were safe in her care. She is reliable and very sincere.
