This is the background check we require for all caregivers.
Experience: 10 yrs
My life as a caregiver started while taking care of my grandmother, and this developed into a love of taking care of the elderly. Working with agencies I have worked for many patients from companion to hospice care. I started working without an agency to spend more time with individual patients. My last several patients have been live in for five days then two days off. My work schedule is flexible I have 30 years experience in adult care with many references available on request. I am HA, HHA, PCA, CNA Certified (and I can cook too).

Sandra H. (Sandy) is a Certified Home Health Aide, but she is so, so much more. Sandy treats the client as family, not just a patient. Sandy is almost a surrogate mother, getting patients to do things that they just don't want to do. Maybe the pain is too much, maybe they feel like a child being told what to do, Sandy has a way about her that makes the client want to do what they have to do. She convinces them this is what is best for them. She is very protective of her clients. Consideration and her ability to listen are major parts of her casual friendly style. When she works with a client she is there for a long time. I hired Sandy to work for a friend of mine as a live-in aide. She replaced several aides that didn't get along with my friend, they didn't show the care, concern, and compassion that Sandy did. Her care and concerns during the pandemic were above and beyond what anyone could have asked for. Her concern was that if she took her normal days off and someone replaced her, my friend would be exposed to potentially infected people, which could be deadly. She stayed at my friend's house for the whole pandemic, putting her own life with her (older) children on the back burner. She has virtually unlimited patience. Her sense of duty is unbeatable, and her work ethic is off the charts. She cooks, cleans and you would not want a better advocate for a parent or loved one. I could not recommend her more highly. She sticks with them through thick and thin.
