My experience with elder care includes taking care of my husband's elderly aunt for about 4 years. She suffered from Alzheimer's and needed help with most day to day care such as meals, bathing, dressing and errands to name a few. I also helped with my dad for 9 years after he suffered many strokes. His care included helping him in/out of bed using a hoyer lift, helping prepare meals and assisting feeding, dressing and Assisting with using the bathroom and managing meds. I would stay with my dad when my mom needed a respite and would be there to help in any way needed.
