About Sandra

I am a 36-year-old Jamaican woman, and mother of three children ages 3, 14, 16. Two of my children reside in Jamaica still, however my 3 children lives here with me. I am a committed mother, and I have a lot of experience not just in rearing my own children, but the children of others including friends, family and children in the community. My strengths include being able to provide consistent care, love and unconditional regard. I am able to set clear limits, while having clear expectations and show love. I strongly believe that children should understand the difference between discipline and punishment. I believe that discipline should allow for the child to learn that their actions or behaviors were wrong. A child should not walk away feeling not loved, or uncared for because of a behavior that they displayed. My weaknesses are at times being laid back at times. I am looking for a live out position that I will be treated as of the family also. I would like a position that will be challenging and allow me to not only be a caregiver but a part of the home in assisting with clean up and cooking. I am an excellent cook, and would love to share some of my culture with a family. I am also a certified CNA, HHA , PCA , and I have a CPR certification.
