About Sammie

Hi! I'm Sammie, and I'm currently earning my bachelor's degree in elementary and special education. I have hands-on experience working with children of all ages and abilities. I spent two semesters as a Jumpstart Corps Member at SCSU supporting preschoolers' early learning and a summer as a teacher's assistant at a daycare. I currently work Kumon learning center and substitute as an elementary teacher and paraprofessional. I also have extensive experience with children with special needs, having helped care for my disabled brother growing up. I'm currently a substitute paraprofessional at an elementary school and am CPR and First Aid certified. I'm passionate about creating a safe, patient, and fun environment where every child can thrive!
